The testing process is systematically adjusted to the product and the manufacturing process. We offer complete project management including development and design of product specific test procedures and end-of-line functional tests. We offer a variety of statistical process controls and database based traceability of measured values and components are integrated into the production process.

Storage and delivery of components is supported by a 11m high fully automated stock lift (Hänel LeanLift).

The pick and place production takes place on 2 Inline-production lines with SIPLACE X4 and X3, 3 assemble modules type SIPLACE S20 and 2 assemble modules type SIPLACE F4. This allows processing structural shape of 01005 to 85 x 85 mm incl. µBGA, BGA, FlipChip, QFN with a grid of 0,25mm (Lead Pitch) and 0,15mm (Bump Pitch).
For spezial soldering requirements a vapour phase soldering system IBL SLC300 is available.

Soldering of conventional components is done on 2 lines with wave soldering machines, SEHO 8040PCS and 8140PCS, which operate in a nitrogen environment.

For component and complete device encapsulation (potting) a fully automatic 3D Cario 4K CNC machine is available.

Assembly and finalisation of the product takes place in modern sieries oriented work stations (laser welding, bolding, pressing, bonding, etc).
Product specific manufacturing tools are made by in-house to optimise production processes.

2 automatic visual inspection systems (AOI) from “Orbotech Vantage S22“ with a resolution of 20 µm assure high quality of the placement and soldering processes.

The In-Circuit test systems (ICT) „Agilent Medalist i5000“ and „Schlumberger S740“ test the electric network of the electronic circuit boards.

The product function test is based on a modular testing concept, which allows a time and cost saving development of product specific test systems. The range of possibilities reaches from simple set to work of products at room temperature through to complex 100% series tests with automatic function simulation and failure simulation at temperature recording of the measurement values and failure states.

10 different temperature cabinets are in use for active and passive´Burn-In’ series tests with volumes from 100L up to 600L.

For physical measurements, STW owns high-precision test systems for qualification tests and series tests.
