IEC 61131 Programming Environment for PLCs

The application software can be programmed either in “C” language or the IEC 61131 CoDeSys development environment. The following languages are available in CoDeSys:

• Function Block Diagram
• Contact Plan
• Instruction List
• Ladder Logic
• Sequential Function Chart
• Structured Text

With the provided software libraries it is easy and fast to create the application software. CoDeSys in particular allows users to quickly set up applications without knowledge of a low level computer language. Complex applications, or applications with special requirements can be programmed directly in the language “C”, using the provided BIOS software. C allows a more precise interaction with the system hardware.

CAN or RS232 are used to download software into the flash memory.
